Life in a small town

Just a link to a surprising government blog …

“River Flows In You”, Yiruma, from the album “Yiruma Piano Collection” , (2001)

Went to this blog site from a link in this blog post by David Warren. David’s post is worth reading on its own but the link he provided to a blog post responding to a Sunday Times hatchet job is a pearl in it’s mature and measured response to the typical “journalism” of the vast majority of the MSM of all types.

The response is worth reading all the way to the end to get an idea of just how much mendacious garbage is routinely published by the MSM and just as routinely consumed by the “in my opinion” crowd. After all, who cares about truth and facts, I just want to have a pleasant conversation with my friends, right?

Having, once upon a time in a different life, been responsible for writing, editing, publishing and distributing a monthly newsletter (pre-blogosphere days) for a government department, I can attest that the response from the D.H.S.C Press Office is a minor work of art coming from a government blog. This blog is covered by Crown Copyright.

The writer is most likely an unsung minor Program Officer whose postings on this blog site probably will not outlast his usefulness to whichever deputy minister decided that a blog was the appropriate vehicle of response to the usual mendacious and incendiary attacks from the Zombie Media – which is really all there is these days.

Anyway, it’s all part of God’s plan, and this whole crisis is definitely not “A Hill To Die On”.  Good days to be far far away from all cities.

Cheers from the Shire.
