Developments In Personal Health … found a remarkable book …

Voyage, Bill Douglas, from album Kaleidoscope, 1993

I have found a remarkable book at a remarkable website.

Some of my followers and some of my readers are familiar with my personal health journey since January 2017 when I was 280 pounds, Diabetic, suffering from High Blood Pressure, Sleep Apnia, and, apparently “Depression”. I knew I was having trouble sleeping, was tired all the time, and was just generally depressed about my health and about what “Modern Medicine” was offering me via advice regarding diet and Insulin and a generally downhill prognosis of decline, organ failure and eventual early death.

As posted previously, I started fasting in January 2017, for religious reasons … and imagine my surprise when that fasting turned into improving numbers on all measures of my various morbidities.

As I wrote then at the end of March 2017: “ … Dieting as an exercise in scriptural meditation … “the spirits of wickedness in the high places” is that just too pretentious? I actually don’t think so … wickedness in high places … affecting every aspect of every day in every way … Meanwhile, in the real world of every day …  blood sugar hovering around 7.0 – best since I was diagnosed 8 years ago. Weight down to 238 lbs. best in 8 years. BP down to 115/65 also good. Off all my meds, just taking vitamins, really, except for the cold we are struggling with we are feeling the best we have in years. Things are actually looking pretty good when we stay focused on the minutiae of the day“.

Since then I have fasted and nutritioned and vitamined myself into a place where I no longer have Diabetes, High Blood Pressure, Sleep Apnia, and even my mainstream family doctor after many blood tests and checkups, has finally acknowledged that I am not suffering from any of those previous diseases and it’s ok to stop my meds – which I had already done since early 2018.

Things continue to improve and I recently discovered NIACINE. Now taking 3 grams a day along with 5 to 10 grams of Vitamine C to “bowel tolerance” as the medical expression goes. Ain’t no sign of COVID around here.

Anyway, without further delay I am going to quote directly from the FORWARD to this great book, This FORWARD is written by — ATSUO YANAGISAWA, MD, PhD President, International Society for Orthomolecular Medicine

Atsuo Yanagisawa, MD, PhD, FACC,

HEALTH IS UNDENIABLY A REQUIREMENT for our happiness, as well as for our family, friends, and children of the coming generation, yet I consider this era to be the most difficult time in history to maintain our health. In the past, we had a hope that all diseases would disappear with advancements in medicine.

It turns out that we are seeing increases in the number of patients with stroke, cardiovascular diseases, cancer, allergic diseases, psychiatric diseases, and various other health issues. We live in an environment stressed by pollution, poisonous food additives, and low-nutrition junk foods. This environment puts our health in jeopardy and vulnerable to various chronic diseases.

As scientists and journalists confirm, the number of sick people should decrease if medicine has really evolved as much as we are told. The unfortunate fact is that modern standard medicine, which centers on pharmacotherapy, has difficulty treating, let alone curing, chronic diseases; it may even create new diseases due to adverse effects of conventional treatments. Healthcare professionals and the public are becoming aware of the limits of standard medicine.

Orthomolecular medicine can surpass these limits and bring hope to the future by providing what is really good for people’s physical and mental health. Orthomolecular medicine prevents and treats diseases by providing optimal amounts of substances that are natural to the body. This means that we can prevent and treat illness and maintain ideal health through proper diet with the supplemental addition of vitamins, minerals, essential fats, and amino acids.

Orthomolecular medicine has been proven to be effective, with considerable medical evidence from the leaders and pioneers, including Dr. Abram Hoffer and Dr. Linus Pauling, the two-time Nobel Prize winner. Orthomolecular medicine provides effective treatments without adverse effects, unlike synthetic medicine, by enhancing the body’s natural healing power to fight chronic diseases.

Our colleagues and other healthcare professionals have successfully treated thousands of patients with chronic diseases utilizing orthomolecular medicine and nutritional therapy. Nutritional therapy should be the first choice for treatment and prevention of diseases. We should choose standard medicine only when nutritional treatment has proven ineffective, because it is a doctor’s duty to choose a safe treatment with the least adverse effects.

Nutritional treatment has evolved in the long history of humankind, proving its safety and effectiveness. Orthomolecular medicine has been established as a scientific way of treatment. Our second choice—the standard treatment—uses pharmaceutical drugs as the lead option. The reason for its placement as the second choice is that tens of millions of people suffer every year from the adverse effects of drugs, and hundreds of thousands are dying from them.

This simple fact is surely enough for us to realize that our first choice should be nutritional treatment. Unfortunately, it has become the norm in the last 20 to 30 years for doctors and patients to choose drugs as soon as they spot a disease. What we consider as a “dangerous drug” is their first choice. Behind this trend are the pharmaceutical giants, who grow rich from people choosing the dangerous products. Magazines, newspapers, and television do not seem to hesitate when advertising the drugs that may be harmful for the patients.

We have to give a cautious look at how we treat diseases, and take a lead in spreading the safe way of medicine with nutritional treatment. For that purpose, Dr. Andrew W. Saul has compiled The Orthomolecular Treatment of Chronic Disease. Dr. Saul is an educator on orthomolecular medicine for doctors, as well as an evangelist to enlighten the public with the excellence of nutritional treatment. He has made a global contribution by establishing www.DoctorYourself.com where the correct medical information is communicated.

He has long served as an editorial board member for the Journal of Orthomolecular Medicine, and also as the editor-in-chief of the Orthomolecular Medicine News Service. The International Society for Orthomolecular Medicine (ISOM) chose him as an inductee for Orthomolecular Medicine Hall of Fame in 2013 for his contribution to the field for many years.

I, as the president of ISOM, deeply appreciate his friendship and support as a great advisor. Dr. Saul has reviewed numerous studies by nutritional pioneers published in the Journal of Orthomolecular Medicine, the Orthomolecular Medicine News Service, and other publications. In editing this book, he has carefully chosen papers and reviews written by 65 experts.

Part One of this book focuses on orthomolecular medicine’s history, philosophy, and logic; Part Two introduces pioneers who established the field of orthomolecular medicine; and Part Three discusses treatment for chronic diseases. Numerous discoveries and new evidence have driven the evolution of orthomolecular medicine.

One recent example is high-dose vitamin C treatment of health issues related to radioactive contamination from the March 2011 accident in the Fukushima nuclear plant in my native Japan. Orthomolecular medicine, as you will read in this book, can be considered as the most effective tool in defending our bodies from radiation. As the president of ISOM, representing 23 organizations from 20 nations around the globe, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Dr. Saul for publishing this remarkable book, The Orthomolecular Treatment of Chronic Disease.

The book brilliantly and successfully captures what we need to know about orthomolecular medicine now. Its information should be viewed as a comprehensive seminal standard that has been long awaited by healthcare professionals worldwide who practice, or are planning to practice, orthomolecular medicine and nutrition.

Dr. Andrew Saul

We know that there are doctors and scholars who have skepticism towards this field of medicine. This book will convey the scientific truth about orthomolecular medicine that will remove their suspicion. Orthomolecular medicine is a science, philosophy, and an art that is beneficial to people’s physical and mental health.

I truly believe that this book will contribute to save many people who are suffering from chronic diseases, by encouraging the world to know what good orthomolecular medicine can do for their health.”

The real gut proof of the validity of Dr. Saul’s importance is that the Wickedpedia is making it as difficult as possible to find any reference to him.

As far as the Wickedpedia is concerned “Wikipedia does not have an article with this exact name.” and  “The page “Andrew Saul (nutrition)” does not exist.”, just check out the garbage returned at : https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?search=Andrew+Saul+%28nutrition%29&title=Special%3ASearch&fulltext=1&ns0=1

You absolutely know it must be truth with a capital T TRUTH … if the Wickedpedia is going to such lengths to hide information about Dr. Andrew W. Saul. For my friends and readers, just check out http://www.doctoryourself.com/, for the rest of the world, you may as well go visit the Karens on Facebook.
